Statistics: Russia’s inflation slows down to 0.01% Aug 1–Monday
MOSCOW, Aug 9 (PRIME) -- Russia’s consumer price inflation slowed down to 0.01% from August 1 through Monday from 0.13% a week earlier, and reached 3.42% since January 1, the Federal State Statistics Service said on Wednesday.
Fruit and vegetables prices decreased by 1.9% on average. Prices for potato fell 7.2%, white cabbage 5.6%, onion 5.2%, carrot 4.2%, table beet 3.2%, tomato 2.9%, cucumber 0.9%. At the same time, prices for apple increased 1.8%, banana 0.8%.
Prices for fruit and berry preserves for children decreased 0.7%, for pasta 0.5%, sausages 0.4%. Pork prices rose 1.3%, poultry 1.2%, sugar 0.6%.
Gasoline prices rose by 0.6% and diesel fuel prices by 0.2%.
